Science of Wind – Computation

Summary

Students use a real data table of global wind generation (2010–2023) and a line graph to calculate average annual growth, percentage of global electricity, and a projection for 2025. Four quantitative questions and one open-ended analysis prompt are included. Works well as a data literacy activity paired with an introductory wind energy lesson for middle or high school math or science.
