Science of Natural Gas – Exploring Natural Gas Lab – Student

Summary

Students rotate through three lab stations to simulate methane formation, model hydraulic fracturing, and compare heat transfer from a candle, ethanol gel, and natural gas burner, then build a lifecycle concept map as a wrap-up. Each station includes a procedure, data table, and analysis questions. Pairs directly with the Exploring Natural Gas Lab Teacher Guide and fits high school science or APES Unit 6.
