Science of Coal – Data Set

Summary

This coal data analysis activity challenges high school students to interpret a line graph and data table on per capita CO₂ emissions from coal. Students will analyze historical trends in developed and developing nations, identify peak emissions, and hypothesize about the factors that might explain the shifts in consumption. The activity fosters critical thinking about the global landscape of energy transitions.
